Dear Friends,
Greetings! My name is Maryann Ehmann and welcome to Agree with God!
For years I knew that God was the Source of all I could possibly need or desire. The word says it is so, and I believed it!
However, there seemed to be this huge gap between the abundant life Jesus came to give, and what we were experiencing!
I wondered what I was doing wrong. I prayed. I studied. I even taught from the Word.
What I discovered was that I had many misconceptions and wrong ideas as to who God was, who I was to Him, and what I could expect from Him.
Expect? Isn’t that wrong?
These hidden perceptions wreaked havoc in my mind and emotions, creating a deep, nagging sense of lack that seeped into all my relationships, eroding our finances, and ravaging my body.
I began to get angry with God, disappointed in myself and my family, and ultimately confused and clueless.
I grew frustrated with my life as a Christian.
Slowly over time, however, God led me in a new way of relating to Him! A beautiful, simple, and profoundly easy way of dialoguing, communicating, and receiving from Him.
Agree with God!
He desires spiritual vitality and intimacy with and for you!
Through these times, God ~~~
taught me His way
identified my negative and limiting thinking
renewed my mind and heart
showed me a TRUE pictureof who He is and who I am to Him
brought me into a continual and sustained state of true peace, power, and prosperity
opened my eyes to the power and importance of positioning myself to receive.
I began to yearn for times of conscious awareness of His presence and love. Rather than feeling like I should spend time with Him, I eagerly looked forward to the next time we could meet.

Reading through these 7 steps helped me to clearly see what areas I had been too busy to spend time before the Lord about, and also in what ways I had been trying to shoulder the weight myself instead of giving all my cares to Him. I really appreciated reading all the the 7 Steps, but Step 1, "It's all about you, and it's ok," really spoke to me. For years I never felt like I could talk to God about how I was feeling about things. It didn't matter what the situation was. I always felt like I was a bad, lacking christian for feeling angry, frustrated, hurt or just plain uncaring. I thought God would basically close His ear to me and think I was a worthless child of His. I began to start journaling myself and talking to God. I didn't go back and criticize what I was saying. I just wrote. I found love, acceptance and healing from a God I thought would not want to hear me. So thankyou, Maryann, for being willing to share your life with me and others.
